Love Is All You Need is a new film by Academy Award-winner Susanne Bier. Philip (Pierce Brosnan), an Englishman living in Denmark, is a lonely, middle-aged widower and estranged single father. Ida (Trine Dyrholm) is a Danish hairdresser, recuperating from a long bout of illness, who’s just been left by her husband for a younger woman. The fates of these two bruised souls are about to intertwine, as they embark for Italy to attend the wedding of Philip’s son and Ida’s daughter. With warmth, affection and confidence, Bier has shaken a cocktail of love, loss, absurdity, humour and delicately drawn characters who will leave only the hardest heart untouched. This is a film about the simple yet profound pains and joys of moving on – and forward – with your life.
Ashley's role in the school play Romeo And Julio. She is really supposed to be playing for the school's american football team, but Ashley says that she "didn't make the team"(In reality, however, she was kicked for being a breeder). Ashley soon changes the subject of the conservation toward heterosexuality. She says that her drama teacher, Mr. Thompson, told her that William Shakespeare wrote the play for his true love Duchess. This means that Shakespeare was really a heterosexual, but he couldn't divorce his husband, so he wrote Romeo and Julio to express his love. Karen and Vicki are not pleased that the teachers are telling the kids about heterosexual, and decide to make a call to that school later. Ashley's moms then talk about the straight couple that just moved down street, mentioning
Ashley and Ian then meet at the school theater the next day. Ian says that he "can't do this anymore", saying that his big brother found out, and that he threatened to tell his dads who would kill him if they found out. Ashley tries to cheer him up, saying that they would never do that as they love him. Ian however mentions a similar story that happens to her Aunt, Aunt Sara. Sara was exposed as being a heterosexual, and the entire family cut her off, not even allowing anyway to say her name anymore. Ashley, agreeing that it would be better if their relationship came to an end, asks Ian if they can just kiss one last time, not knowing if she will ever kiss a boy again. Ian doesn't really agree, but decides to do so anyway. As they attempt to kiss one last time, they are caught by Paula, Suzzy, and two other girls who had sneaked into the theater when they weren't looking. They whisper to each other, and Ashley and Ian know they are busted. Ian, desperately wanting to avoid trouble, directs the blame to Ashley. He says that he was just trying to be nice to Ashley, but she keeps touching him like that, and that in reality he hates her. Paula and the others believe in this, and wanting to teach Ashley a lesson, run after her. Ashley runs around the school getting chased by the girls, who themselves manage to get three other boys to join their side. Ian is relived to see this happening, but still looks guilty.
Before they can tell Ashley their plan, she goes into the bathroom and locks the door. Too stressed from all the bullying and teasing she has gone through lately and thinking that maybe there is a hetero heaven for her, Ashley decides to commit suicide by first washing her face off. Then, she hops into the bathtub with the water running, and slashes her arm with a Pharmacy needle. This causes her to bleed to death. By the time Ashley's parents are able to open the locked bathroom door, it is too late, for Ashley is no longer alive.
When the Wall came down, a young Imre Kaló was tramping around in the woods somewhere, eyes on the sky. Trained as forester, and employed by the state, Kaló saw the writing on the wall even as the wall crumbled, brick by brick. Two years earlier he had nearly cut off three of the fingers of his right hand, which, thanks to several surgeries, remain usable but oddly clenched. He was newly a father and acutely conscious of the needs of his growing family.
2011 Imre Kaló Grüner Veltliner, Eger Pale greenish gold in the glass, this wine smells of melon, star-fruit and a hint of cucumber. In the mouth flavors of green apple, wet stone, and white flowers burst and crackle with lovely acidity, while a silky texture caresses the tongue. Nice finish. Score: between 9 and 9.5.
You need self power, and energy to recover from this damage and get our traditions back. I represent the genes that Hungarians have for making natural wines with a sense of place. This is our old destiny as a people.
It is at that point that Kaló related to me the story of how God spoke to him, and told him that wine is love. He went on, God is graceful to let people in this world love and be loved. That is the only true path. Everyone has the possibility to be loved, and every human has the responsibility to love. And of course, we can drink wine. If you drink wine, you never think of hatred and destruction.
I will say now that this review of "Love Is All You Need" contains spoilers although I am sure even the most casual of movie fans will spot certain things in this movie before they get properly revealed. Now the set up is simple as we have this wedding in Italy, in the abandoned home of Philip in amongst the lemon groves which he hasn't really visited since his wife died years earlier. And we have a variety of people there from Ida and Philip to Ida's husband, the girl from accounts, Ida's angry son, and Philip's sister in law who has always had feelings for him as well as some minor characters. As such during the lead up to the wedding day we have various dramas from Philip telling his scheming sister in law that there is no way he could love to Ida's son attacking his father on the dance floor. Whilst all this is going on we also have the question as to whether the marriage will go through or not and to be honest I saw where this was going long before the reveal came.

Sharing a few of my favorite instagram snaps from the past month. Oh that Henry, he sure finds his way in there a whole heck of a lot. Miss Daisy even makes an appearance as we got to see her when we visited my parents ranch over the Thanksgiving holiday. She is queen of the ranch and loves it there.
I came across Pom Pom on Ravelry and was instantly smitten with what these lovely London ladies are doing; this is a beautifully designed/laid out/photographed and printed magazine that is so different than your typical knitting mag.
Both versions knit up quickly with bulky weight yarn (110 yards for the classic version or 130 yards for the slouchy version) on size US 10 (6.5 mm) double pointed needles (or appropriate needle size to obtain gauge at 3.75 stiches per inch). The pattern includes charted and line-by-line instructions for each version and can be purchased via Ravelry by clicking the link below.
I knit the original slouchy version about a year ago when Joey and I were living in Bushwick and he needed a warm hat. Since then, it has traveled with him on tour and kept him warm in NYC, Texas, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Ireland, England and Portugal. When a hat sees that kind of mileage, sometimes you need a backup (or two!) and so I decided to knit another one for him with a more classic look and fit.

Originally, Love is all you need? was a 2012 short film by Kim Rocco Shields, detailing the life of a heterosexual theater-loving girl falling for her male classmate in the world, where heterosexuality was tabooed and prosecuted, just like homosexuality is in ours. After a period of initial obscurity the short suddenly rose to fame on YouTube, prompting Rocco Shields to make a full-length movie in 2016. The movie expands upon the story from the original short, while also adding another story of a star quarterback Jude Klein falling in love with Ryan Morris, a shy but sweet journalist, with both girls facing dire consequences after others find out about their sexuality. The film also goes into more detail about the attitude towards heterosexuality than the short did: the church officials preach against it, as do officials of all levels, there are derogative slurs for heterosexuals and the bullies of all ages are more than happy to brutalize people for their 'deviant' sexuality. 041b061a72
